Kelly Thornbury is the founder and heart behind Lookout Insurance Agency. Based in Flintstone, Georgia, Kelly brings a rare combination of professional expertise and genuine compassion to everything she does—making her not just an insurance agent, but a trusted advocate for her clients.
Family is at the center of Kelly’s life and work. She and her husband, Ryan, are raising their children, Barrett and Wren, with the same values that guide her business: integrity, care, and commitment. The bear and bird in the agency’s logo represent her children and reflect what Lookout Insurance truly is—a family-owned business built to protect what matters most.
Kelly began her insurance career in 2009 and became a business owner at just 23 years old. After five years with a captive insurance company, she recognized that true service meant independence. By becoming an independent insurance broker, Kelly gained the ability to shop multiple carriers and customize coverage—ensuring each client receives protection that genuinely fits their life, business, and budget.
She specializes in General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Home, Auto, and Life Insurance, and is especially known for guiding clients through challenging moments with clarity and care. Kelly has a natural gift for helping others navigate uncertainty, particularly during times of crisis, and she approaches every relationship with patience, empathy, and honesty.
Outside the office, Kelly enjoys gardening, caring for animals, and giving back to her community. She considers herself a nurturer and a servant at heart, striving to lead by example through kindness and compassion. Serving clients across Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama, Shawna specializes in home and auto coverage—making insurance simple, clear, and stress-free.
Known for her approachable style and genuine care, Shawna is passionate about educating clients and building long-term relationships rooted in trust. When she’s not helping others plan for the future, she enjoys traveling with her husband, Bert, and giving back to her community.

A native of Northwest Georgia and a proud mother of five, Misty Clark brings over 20 years of insurance experience and serves as a key leader within our agency. As our Customer Service Team Lead, she plays an essential role in ensuring clients receive attentive, knowledgeable, and dependable support at every touchpoint. Misty specializes in auto, homeowner’s, commercial, and health insurance, and is known for her ability to match each customer’s unique needs with the right coverage at the right price. Outside the office, she enjoys photography and crafting, bringing the same creativity and care to her work with clients.
